got a xcellent global mini incubator for Christmas. first incubator

I'm trying to find the other post of someone with the same problem and one just like mine but a different brand I think but apparently they advertise you don't have to turn them?

But wouldn't that make the water in the bottom spill?

Well I suspect you will have to find a balance, a little less water or less tilt, or put a sponge in there instead of free flowing water...

Companies advertise a lot to sell a product, doesn't mean it's good advice... Egg turning has a purpose that is why broody hens turn them nearly constantly, hundreds of times a day... If eggs are not turned you run a much higher risk of mortality due to what is essentially starvation, turning the egg flops the yolk and embryo around and keeps the yolk mixed and fresh, think of it like stirring a pot of soup to keep all the stuff from settling out... Also if eggs are not turned there is a higher risk of the embryo leaning against the shell in the same place or even getting stuck to the egg shell causing deformities and irregular growth and even mortality due to being unable to position itself properly during hatch...

I am just turning them like I've been it don't have a deep place for water I don't see how that would work without spilling all the water and that's by the electrical stuff.

How r getting on with ur incubator I have the same one I didnt put as many eggs in so I can tilt them n turn them

Tried it twice didn't hatch but that was winter how are yours doing I'm gonna start trying again

Im just trying it again I bought a thermometer n hydrometer n put that in also left it running a couple of days to set it right turns out I had humidity to high first time round took some adjusting so fingers cross put less eggs in so I can turn them taking all the advice hints etc n doing them all instead of filling the water tray I used a small piece of sponge n just wet that apparently I have high humidity in my room so literally a small sponge x

You have condensation so yes your humidity is too high. Do you have a hygrometer you could add? If you have only just started incubating this will be ok to be corrected for a better average.
