That’s a shame my cocks fine though, I rarely go in the hen house when he’s in and he’s tried to do it before but got me this time

Yes, but I think what we're saying is not sure you'll ever get him to not be aggressive now. Usually the first time they come at me (or more likely my 4-year old) I grab them and hang them upsideown for a few minutes. I know that sounds semi-barbaric... but I got to tell you it has worked 9 out of 10 times. But once you have a truly mean Roo- they stay mean. You can't really bring them back from the dark side and thus why you hear people saying what they are (AKA get rid of it if you have to be around it).

I get your point but I find as long as he’s no problem for me in the run he’s fine

Yes.
I like to start with skittish, aloof breeds that begin with a fear of all things not chicken. I never get attacked any more since keeping only flighty breeds.

This is my cut, does it look okay?

I bring the food, and any cockerel or cock bird who thinks I should be attacked is gone. They do taste like chicken!
Human aggressive roosters aren't guarding their flock from actual predators, they are being jerks. That peck is minor, but he'll be able to inflict real wounds, and take out eyeballs, in the not too distant future.
I like my roosters to be taking care of their hens and looking out for them, not stalking me.
And especially not being a danger to any other people.
