Got my chooks microchipped today.

Hah! I just read in the news today that a cat was missing for nine years showed up at a neighbors house and they took it to the vet, and was scanned for a microchip, and they found the owners (down the street) She was returned after 9 years! I hope she wasn't hanging with a bunch of demon cats, otherwise that family might have to worry a bit.

He did convince me to get rid of the other roo, so now he has all the hens to himself. The ducks however have complete control of him. He can't move without the drakes having something to say about it.
I was sitting on the back step talking to my hens. Oh shush, you know you all do. He just stood a few feet away, looking at me. Just looking. He didn't move at all. Just looked.

It's something, isn't it? Funny thing is since I rehomed his half brother he's been a real sweetheart. But no, I don't dare look him in the eye. I can't even imagine what LCRT might do with that pic!

That he is! He hatched in my hand because I had to help him zip out of his egg. There is a neighborhood cat that insists on stalking my birds. George doesn't do much other than carry on loudly. The ducks chase the cat off. There have been fewer squirrels around lately and I haven't seen a mouse in the shed in a long time.....
