Got my eggs! (Happy dance!)

I got THE best eggs today and I am so excited-- Gabbard farms and another place through ebay. I ended up with 35 eggs all intact (and one broken, sadly a Blue Copper Maran) and of some VERY exciting varieties. I think I'm most excited about the Marans, Penedesencas, and Empordanesas....

This means I have about 79 eggs all in all in the incubators? My DH is gonna freak, but he DID say I could order eggs

I figure a generous 50% will hatch (so, like 40) and half of those will be roos....

I'm trying not to be too optimistic, as it's been around 108 every day since I ordered the eggs and they came-- so, I'm thinking the hatch rate will be affected by the heat...

Gabbard Farms is the BEST source for hatching eggs IMHO.....

So far I have 4/80 eggs hatched successfully... not thrilled. I had one that I had to help that drowned (very shallow water, but another chick stood on its head!!!!)

So far all of the surviving chicks are mutts, too...

Come on, Chickies! Hatch!
