With good fencing, dogs shouldn't be a problem. Human contacts are more difficult, especially children. It would be ideal if you socialize your pups with humans and children very soon, to prevent really bad situations in the future.
I've met some GPs that are good with people, and some who definitely weren't.

People speech of Training..Hmm..?
Most LGD are Independant thinkers and protect their home, animals and property with passion. Finn my Maremma is fantastic and great with people he knows..Family and Friends. When I'm home alone and have strangers coming for Birds I have Finn out to protect me. He stays between me and the people that come...No one would dare do something bad on his watch. Other loose Dogs are sent running he knows his job and does it well.
Finn is huge and has scared people...

Yes, but we need that. Stray dogs are a major predator threat here. We have lost most of our chickens to foxes, but dogs are second on the list. I need them to be K9 aggressive.

I am concerned about that also. I have three things to address that concern. First, fencing. Second, signage. Third, limited liability. The dogs are owned by our small business, as are the chickens and all other farm-related things. So our personal liability is limited and we have business insurance.

As long as your Dogs are on your property your not liable. Working Dogs need to stay on your property..I have Beware of Dog signs at the end of my Driveway.

Also...Never have a heavy hand or enforce fear as a training tool with the Pups. LGDs won't train that way. Lots of praise when they do something right. Read more on the Breed and contact breeders..
Finn does not handle it well when I do need to get after him..He pees himself and smiles...Not good seeing a 150lbs Dog acting like he is a Chihuahua.lol

That can get tricky.

Yes, LGD have great instincts..... but all dogs need some training, really.

Well, it started out as vending machines, and now we have branched out to eggs.

Have you had and trained dogs in the past?

Yes, but not a lot. I housebroke my childhood dog, but didn’t do much other training. I also had a hound that I did basic obedience training with.

Well, mine are both females, so I think they will be about 100 lbs. That should be smaller than Finn.
