It's EXCELLENT now, He is doing 100% better! His ear, inside & out looks normal again, finally.
It was like after the plug came out he was able to clean his ear out a lot better. His canal & opening have went back down to normal size, are no longer swollen & back to their normal color(blue). I had to pull out a lot of feathers around his ear hole when I removed the plug out of it, they were just too crusted and falling out anyway, but I applied some Neosporin that same night and the whole area(about Quarter-sized) looks good again, you almost can't even tell they're missing...from a distance.
He has one last dose of Baytril tomorrow and then he's all done. I haven't noticed any ill effects from the medicine except for some runny poo after giving it to him, but I think that's mainly from stress, and of course the squinty eye that he had for a couple days.
His sister still has a small infection going on in one of her ears but it has stayed the same for 2 weeks now, I am going to clean it out after I get back home on the 20th and give it a couple days and them I will start the Baytril if it doesn't clear out on it's own. It's also the same kind of infection, Staph.
For now I will assume they just have "odd ears" and that's why they are the only 2 that got the ear infections.
I will have to report back to my Vet and let him know how it worked, he wasn't real sure about it how the Baytril would work.
