(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I guess you can classify me as "green as grass" to chickens. We have hand them for about 3 weeks

Rooster is Black Jersey Giant & the hen collection is made up of Gold Laced Wyandotte, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Dominiques, Cochin, Welsummer, Cucko Maran,

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I was born with the horse sickness
and that has led to a passion for raising Andausian horses for over 20 + years. Slowing down now to just riding. Hubby and I trail ride a lot
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
As a support agent for software I spend all day on the computer so coming home and tending the animals grounds me. The critter collection at the moment is just the horses (2 Andalusians, 1 Morgan) and 2 Schipperke dogs plus a barn cat on patrol. The chickens are new but very enjoyable.
