Gourd/Squash/Pumpkin Seed Swap

Hey all! I still have 2 squash that I need to process. It's been really rough, recently. I've been working more at my 2nd job as an overnight care giver, plus have my full time day job. Dan finally got a job and it is AWESOME, but he leaves at 6:30 am and gets back around 7PM....I work every MOnday night, the boys have Therapy on Tuesday nights and I haven't been able to attend my autism support group!

I also lost 2 dogs the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and have my oldest one going to the vet to be put down today. She is almost 15, Border Collie, and it's just time. THe other two got into the rat poison in the feed shed. THat was just horrible, since we didn't know. We guessed after a bit the lab had eaten it and when she passed, it was expected...but when my little bichon/pomeranian started acting funny, that killed me.

Then I found one of the baddies of seed I had dried and packaged got a little mold on it

I'm lying down andbeingkicked, right about now, but am getting up, dusting off, and putting a smile on my face, because I still have a wonderful family, roof over my head and a job. Things can get worse, or I can make them better. No pity party here! The best part??? My daughter's Dobie got to my yellow Lab and she is due the beginning of the year. They will be ugly as sin, I am sure, but I'll be darned if I am not keeping a couple!

Sorry for all the bad things. The positive is puppies are always cute.

I'm debating if I have any more room left for another batch in my envelope. Oh and somehow I don't have the address to send them to.

I'm going to take advantage of Monday being childless and off work to do the last 2 squash. I'll only be able to send in 4 types of seeds due to my increased work hours at the 2nd job and Dan workings super long hours at his new job. I can't wait until this is over because it will be so fun to get the seeds and play with them

Not childless but I figure with all the new stuff they are getting, they can keep themselves occupied for a little while. I have a couple to finish up myself.

Put my seed in the mail this morning.
Two kinds of squash....13 packets of each...each labeled with kind of seed and my screen name. I had a few seed left over, so keep the extra packet.

Let's see....bubble envelope with extra label for return mailing, stamps with a little extra to cover postage back, and mailed...under $6.00.

Now, anticipating the variety to come back.

Everyone: Have a wonderful Christmas Holiday with your families and friends.
May the New Year bring you Peace, Joy, Health and Prosperity....and plenty of chickens and eggs!
