Grain mites...

I know, and feeding chickens there will be grain allover the place won't there?

They sometimes even come with cereals or granola packages, oatmeal packages, sesame packages etc. etc.

And even with flour packages as well.

This last batch of feed I didn't inspect, then found them on feed can later.
I checked feeders and saw none there.

Never saw these type of grain mites in human food packages, grain moths and weevils yes. I keep my bulk grains and flours in the fridge.

Oh god not another one of you crazy DE lovers

I had dumped some DE on anthills this past spring and it seemed to have little to no effect, which is why I too was skeptical about DE. But the bzillions of microscopic white bugs crawling up our walls drove me to revisit my DE beliefs...fingers crossed!
