Urgent! Almost my whole flock has this disease. How can it be treated that is cheaper? Anything natural I can use to keep organic? (For the health of my birds I will use non-organic medicine.)

Urgent help needed!

Tylan is most effective against gram pos. but Mycoplasma MG and MS are becoming more and more common resp infection in chicken. Tylan works well for MS and MG. They are considered gram neg....but something about no cell walls makes them different. I am fuzzy on why.....will have to look it up again.

Anyway I like Tylan 50 injectable for Resp stuff. Personally I give it sub Q.

Quote:
Tylan 50 is 0.1 cc/ml per pound of bird,.....so for a 5lb bird 0.5cc's ....10 lb bird gets 1cc.
once a day for 3-5 days.

Dawg posted about Denagard. I read about it yesterday and it Sounds great. Here is a link to it also. One of these days I am going to try it. Studies show that it does not create resistant strains of bacteria, it can be given orally in water, works on mycoplasma....can't remember what else. But, it sounds good.

In one of dawg's posts on this thread, he links some Denagard info sites. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=575355
