So pullet caught her foot & ankle under edge of cage. (Broken ankle I think) She cannot walk on it, and always ends up on her back. I ck her frequently and turn her back over. Tonight I used pink stretchy tape from Tractor Supply and wrapped foot legs and feet. Separately. Has anyone dealt with this problem.? I am so worried about Hazel my Welsummer. If I left her up and set her next to water and food, she will eat and drink a little. Just cannot walk on it, tries to hop a little. I have had hens for 5 yrs and never had this problem. Cannot forage due to coyote, hawks and Javelina, snakes. So, being retired I still work hard to keep nice hens and coops clean. Help? Any ideas for me? Bonnie

👋🏼 Hi, welcome to BYC, we're glad you joined! Sounds like you take awesome care of your girls! Good job keeping them safe and if I remember your area correctly, there's not that much for them to forage on anyway. You may need to splint that leg but I can't really tell you how to do that. @godlovesyou is right, you may get better responses posting in the Emergencies & Injuries section. Good luck to you! :hugs
