It really doesn't bother me much unless it's something like what you mentioned about writing for business. I know that a lot of people have a hard time spelling just like I have a hard time with numbers and advanced math. I think people see more bad grammar and spelling nowadays because of the internet. In the past, if you were a bad speller/writer, you would just avoid doing things where that would be revealed. On the internet, most people communicate through writing, at least for now.

Like how they feel in my hands.

These particular books, my wife bought me when I sold my first story.

Matthew3590, when I was taught spelling and vocabulary we learned words I use every single day.

Maybe I'm odd, but those "big" words often express what I'm trying to say a little better. Also, I find it amusing to confuse people.

I work for ChaCha answering questions people text to them and the majority are from young people and sometimes the spelling and grammar are so messed up you either cant understand what they are saying or the computer cant suggest an answer because its not spelled right. Sure I use abbreviations when texting, its faster but come on, if you want someone to answer your question maybe you should spell it correctly.

People could always use ieSpell to check spelling.
I try to use the USA spelling of words on a mostly USA based site but sometimes I forget.
