YAY -- congrats, hope all went well, can't wait to see.

Woke up at 7 this morning. Took the kids to school. Took mom shopping for thanksgiving.... At a run from 10 till 2. Headache started small but grew as the day went on. Also have a blown mph node on the back of my neck bugging me. Feel like im being a cry baby.

Cry away - it's no fun to be tired and feel icky, especially at the holidays when it's crazy busy. SO SO SO glad to see you back!

If your mind goes there, watch out for Twist. His brain is swirling around down there. On the bright side, we always know where to find him!

Thanksgiving dinner #1 is officially done -- in-laws came over and we had a full turkey dinner spread and now I have the carcass simmering away on the stove and the house smells SOOOOO good, the broth is looking awesome already and can't wait for turkey noodles tomorrow night. This was the first Thanksgiving we've had with family in 17 years - was extra special to sit down to the table with MIL and FIL, but my heart was heavy not to have DD here. Friday my mom is coming up to pick me (and maybe DS) up to take down to their place, Sunday DH will come down and we'll have Thanksgiving with the crew down there and this way we only have one car to make the drive back home. Can't wait to have a weekend with mom and sis.

Sounds good. We do something similar with the turkey carcass, but make rice porridge (jook or congee) with ginger root and bits of turkey meat, then serve hot with chopped peanuts, chopped cilantro, soy sauce and if you really want to go asian, bits of pickled veggies and sesame oil. Mmmmm. Hard boiled egg goes nice too. So simple to make, and ultimate comfort food. Excellent for breakfast. Sometimes I will throw a turkey in the oven just to be able to make jook (Cantonese name).
