Its about 50 here, too hot for my heavy coat. Went out and uncovered plants and watered them. My pea plants are dead. But the cabbage, cauliflower and carrots are still growing. Unknown if my sweet potatoes will survive the winter.

As long as the nights aren't dipping down to a hard freeze cabbage, cauliflower & carrots love cool weather. Sweet potatoes not so much I think.

Went grocery shopping yesterday, have decided that I need to raise some meat birds this year. Just gotta talk hubs into it. Used to be you could get pork cheap, now every kind of meat is outrageous including pork. Not certain what caused all the price increase this time

X2, I know Jane might say different, but unless they were stored properly they probably aren't the best quality. No sense of shooting yourself in the foot before you even get out the front door lol.

I don't say differently. I save seeds from last year in the freezer. Have planted 2 yr old seeds at 2x as many with mixed success.

Ok I’ll compromise by focusing on this year’s seeds and letting the kids plant anything else.

Hi Jane, glad to hear I'm on the right page then lol. I too have planted 2 yr old seeds & doubled up. Is your family starting to feel any better?
