mornings, I havent watched the weather/news in a very long time. Pouring rain this am. was nice yesterday. the hospital , which is my understanding closed many many moons ago is on the same grounds as the prison . I told them I hadnt had the pleasure yet.

I have to take CB for some tests this am. Too early !

It scaled back drastically - but there are still a small number of patients there - the grounds are huge (drive the outside loop one day in the daylight, you'll see) and I think they are down to the main admin building and one other building housing actual patients now -- then there are several buildings the prison has taken over and OVO used to occupy two of the buildings. It is so small compared to what it used to be patient wise that a lot of folks consider it closed down, but it's not really.

So we are now six days from the estimated close of escrow. Do you think we can figure out a day yet? Nope! It's all dance around this and that and NEVER GIVE ME A SOLID ANSWER!

Sigh. Trying to get our realtor to figure out when we'll be doing the final walk through cause at one point he said five days before close. That and uh. I need to measure the windows for curtains.

I just want to be able to plan dagnabbit!!!

Oy! I fell you there - DD and her DF just went through this and it was maddening for them. I imagine it would be a little easier to grin and bear it for you had the ENTIRE PROCESS from start to finish of house hunt to now been such a royal cluster. Hang in there!

Home finally. Went into town with my dad to look at a recliner on sale at Costco. Leather and has a power recline and plug ins for his computer... too cool. And comfy. Got to get the truck and get him one either today or tomorrow.

The sheer incompetence is staggering.

Mortgage idiots called hubs. (When they've been told to contact me in cases of whiskeys and or tangos.)

Oh we can't get employment verification from your wife's work in Canada, and we haven't heard back from your landlord for rent verification.

So I call my work in Canada. Spoke with my lovely lady there. Nope nobody has contacted them. So I gave her the contact number to call the company. Landlord also emailed me back - was also confused about my last name. "Is your last name x or y?" Well, x is my maiden name. It is y now. He also left mortgage lady a message.

Blood and ashes. Blood and bloody ashes get your poop together!!!
