Duh, not silkie eggs, Polish eggs. Really there is no point keeping my own keets unless i have some to breed them to. Don't want to breed to the parents.
I got up at 6:30 this morning, i am beat. At least i found a new place to get hay. I bought 4 bales, which should do me until the new crop gets cut i hope.

lol your post said silkie. Maybe you need some silkies.
That’s true but breeding is a long way off.

Hello! I am back! Sadly i didn't sell any bunnies. Supper is nearly ready, ttyl.

Yeah, it sucked. People were just there to buy feed and nothing else. I felt badly for the chicks one of the exhibitors had there. About 30 part grown chicks in a dog crate. No bedding, so in a couple hours they were all poopy. Same for other chickens. It was gross! And they were both smokers , so that was even worse. Idk if i would bother going back there. Right in the parking lot, no grass or trees. The morning wasn't too bad , but the afternoon was hot. Luckily i brought an umbrella so it wasn't too bad. And i put sunscreen on. Lots of chicks in the bins at TSC. I washed a dozen silkie eggs and of course didn't sell those either. Tempted to hatch them but hubby might get mad. I guess i should call the guy who wants guineas and at least sell those.

So sorry Cap, its tough selling. That's why I don't do it anymore.

People came to TSC but not interested in buying any pets. Only 3 of us sellers. I don't think they advertise at all. I did put a couple notices up on their boards in TSC , so maybe i will sell something from those.

That's too bad, you've really pushed hard to get ready for this. It's horrible when chit like this happens. Hope your hubby will cut you some slack & not rub salt in the wound per say.

I need to get a handful of my CCL, my FBCM & a few SF hens seperated this week. I want to be able to hatch a few eventually this year.

He's a pretty mellow guy. I have been to sales where i didn't sell before. It happens.

just bought a dozen CCL eggs. I’m going to try to just keep colored egg layers and silkies. Try being the key word lol
