The CCL eggs are actually worse on the ACs than the silkie eggs were.
They have the AC on like the long side of the egg? I’m so sorry about the little babies! Would they all have deformities?

Sorry hun, I have a couple hens that are normal from previous broody hatches, but just didn't want to take the chance. The one hen that hatched last year, can't fly at all. It leaves her sleeping in the nest box at floor level & the other hens peck at her. On top of it, it was one of grannys Serama mixes that was the hen sitting on it. This would have been a first hatch for her. I didn't think she needed a difficult egg to hatch.

I have a tiny roo. He's a brat. It's my monster Orpington and blue Wyandotte that are broody. Little Mr. Serama doesn't have a chance.

Petree is in the same boat. He tries but misses.

I can bring you over some fertiles.

You might be surprised about his success. Have you checked fertility on the LF birds? Those little ones can be seek little buggers, lol.

lol I have a broody that has been broody since before the first batch of chicks were hatched. She actually hatched 3 the 2nd time (almost 4 weeks ago) but refuses to care for them other than keeping them warm. She’s very stubborn and I thought had her broke. Nope!
