I was 44 & mom was 76 when she passed from breast to bone cancer. I have was just 21 when dad passed from lung to brain cancer at age of 54.

Ditto I was 28 and mother was 52, occasionally it's difficult to sympthanize when 40+ year olds talk about loosing their 65+ year old mother's.

finally back to this post and I am a little more awake, my choice of words was poor/rotten I should have said that I am secretly JEALOUS of any one who had their mother that long.

Who was it directed at ? It was pretty insensitive . It dont matter the age I dont think. I was 51 , she was 80. still hurts like hell.
