Granny's gone and done it again

Aww hun, hope you start feefing better soon :hugs

Cap, why wouldn't hubby like CCL? Does he not like blue/greenish egg color?

Misty, read your post farther down. Sorry this one wasn't the one :hugs

I agree Twist, more than you know. DD said the same, she wouldn't have had more kids after my gd turned 12 if she knew that he wasn't going to live up to being a father. :hit

HI Pert :frow

What about jerky since that is his favorite?

Sorry Pam :hugs

Sorry Wishing, my dad was 67 when he passed. Was very hard, but I personally feel losing your Mom would even be harder. I am very close with my Mom & I feel so blessed that I still have her :hugs

Thanks for asking Pam, she is out of the hospital but still in pain. She has a gallbladder condition that mimics gallbladder attacks that are brought on from stones, but hers doesn't haves stones, just the inflammation. She will have to live like she has stones, avoiding all fats in food until either her gallbladder forms stones or her doctor takes pity on her & has her gallbladder removed to control the reactive pain.

Sorry Misty, you will find the right one.

My phycho hens baby did as well as Curly Sue's. She's acting just as phycho as Ya Betty. Probably because Ya Betty is being so wacko & they are sharing the same coop. I'm a 1/8 of an inch from doing great bodily harm to that Wacko

No he should not have.

Im so sorry Jane, that was way too young to lose either of your parents :hugs
Hubby doesn't like more chickens. Of any type. At least he didn't complain about the turkeys.

Camping, did that Ridgeback have any issues with the other animals? bothering the chickens or anything like that? Ours were always really good, but I know they are sight hounds and will chase. They use them for boar hunting in the northern part of CA. At least they used to. Very popular here in the late 70s and 80s.

Nope. There were other dogs wandering around and kittens on the porch. The guy said she gets dumb when people are around, but that just meant wandering around on the porch. All the dogs were calm and disinterested. He did say when she was young he caught her and another with a bunch of dead chickens. He said she was beside one, so it was like guilty by association (the other dog was actively eating one). He said he tied the dogs up and piled the carcasses and walloped the dogs until there weren’t carcasses left. Too heavy handed for my taste, but that’s how a lot of hunters train their dogs. He said if her ears even go up at a chicken he just has to look at her and she goes the other way.

I have read where they will tie the carcass to them for a week too. Can you imagine ?

Calm and disinterested is a good description of a Ridgeback, except with their family, where they can be very lovey. They don't like strangers. The ones we had were deviously smart (at least the females:oops:).

yup, thats what he said . I hurt too but I dont pay attention to it w/ the weather. Its just constant for me.
:hugs
I notice it more when it's cold and the weather changes. Heck, we don't get much weather change when it's warm... just dry dry dry.
