Granny's gone and done it again

So cool, can't believe that was in your apple & the apple wasn't rotten.

Sorry, hope you can get this medicine dose figured out soon.

Thanks Alley, can I ask a personal question, you don't have to answer if you don't want to. We're you studying to be a vet & if so why didn't you continue? You seem very knowledgeable about animal stuff & seem to enjoy it.
Technically I’m a veterinary technician. I can do X-rays, dentals, surgery prep and assistance, and all kinds of other stuff. Made it through school and did my clinic hours and then some. Seen too many heartbreaking things. I couldn’t deal. Don’t get me wrong, I loved working in the clinic. It’s just hard not to lose your heart and hope there. And I absolutely hated Friday’s when I worked there.

May not matter much longer. He won’t take a bottle, feels very weak (no resistance like a kitten) and is extremely unsteady. He looks bad.
:lau He's probably got Twitchy Eye too! :he

:hugs

:thumbsup That's what I would do. Didn't realize you had 2 different meds. Big question... is it working so far?
You know, if it ain't broke...

Also, you are going off of what the neighbor is saying, nice as she may be, she could have misdiagnosed what she was treating. Did she get stool sample tested? Goats can get scours for other reasons, and if she was treating for something that wasn't the problem, and they died...

How does your friend know the medical dose? We need to know how much medication to give per pound of animal. And just to make it even more interesting, almost all dosage weights are given in kg. :barnie

Neighbor took a fecal to the vet I did. Vet prescribed albon just like for me.

Cocci will dehydrate fast. Are gums pale? Or tacky? Anyway you could get him a IV?
