Granny's gone and done it again

A blizzard warning was in effect for most of North Dakota, western South Dakota and a small section of eastern Montana through Monday, with expected snow totals of 8 to 15 inches and winds up to 55 mph.
The North Dakota Transportation Department closed a 240-mile stretch of Interstate 94 Sunday night, from the Montana border to Jamestown. A 100-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 83 between Bismarck and Minot also was closed due to drifting snow and near-zero visibility.

Over 8 inches so far and parts of the area are loosing power. Robert lost power out at the farm and he is out there by himself. Trying to get ahold of power company now.

Thank you I am fine but Robert out at the farm maybe be farked
According to the recorded message at the power company they have pulled all repair crews out/back home until storm is over and roads are sort of opened up. Rod is in Lemon , SD and Vickie stayed in town at Sherry's. Of course when I suggested yesterday that he bring in Abby and meds just in case he had to spend the night he poo pooed that idea.

and the heating out there is forced air so no electric no heat. and stove is electric as well

I just called him again told him to go up to Rod's at least the stove and cook top there are propane and he can crank them on for some heat.

ON the bright side at least everything in the freezers is safe from de-frosting so no loss of food. I know the yaks can and do eat snow for water and the adults have access to the big pasture. Rod loaded all the feeders and then another pile of feed for the calves and adults. And they can also eat their straw.

Chickens maybe be on their own.

Oh no Twist that weather sounds grim

it's not good. What is making it really tuff is the wind and the freezing mist we had earlier today. power lines and poles are down all over.
