Granny's gone and done it again

@Granny Hatchet :gig:lau

She had seen Tom come back from the bathroom and walk up to me and kiss me and say" Happy anniversary, I am so sorry if I ruined today for you". I said," No worse then you did 24 yrs ago !". :gig
Is it REALLY your anniversary or do you have one of those every month as well? ;)
Ohh @twisted-acres-farm Tire pressure gage reads 28/28/28/22 . No idea what they are supposed to be.
Do you have an owner's manual for the car?
Does the car have a metal plate attached to the body inside the driver's door on the handle side?

Either of those will tell you what the pressures are supposed to be. My GUESS is somewhere in the 33-35 PSI range. Often the fronts are supposed to be slightly higher than the rear since all that engine weight is up there.

It usually says on the tires.
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the MAX COLD tire pressure. As in "go over this and the tires might explode when you are driving and they heat up which increases the pressure".

BTW, always check and adjust the tires when the vehicle hasn't been driven for a couple of hours. If you check and fill when they are warm, you will have lower pressure when they cool down. The only exception to this is if you know one is really low. Then fill it up to whatever the "same" tire (front or rear) tire reads, HOPING it has proper pressure. Which is unlikely if you don't check the pressure occasionally. Warm tires that started with proper pressure will never read below "proper".

AND!!!!!!!! Check the pressure in the spare occasionally. They are often ignored for months or years and WILL lose air over time, ALL tires will. A mini spare should have 60 PSI, won't do you any good if has "leaked" down to 12 PSI.

On the driver's door jam may be a list for your tire pressures. Some cars have them there. Not all. That 28 is close to being correct. 22 is probably a little low

Ok Thank you Pert. I have my own air compressor so I will fill it tomorrow .
