Quote: North American usage[edit]

Uff da can be used as an expression of surprise, astonishment, exhaustion, relief and sometimes dismay. Within Scandinavian-American culture, Uff da frequently translates to: "I am overwhelmed". The phrase has become a marker of Scandinavian heritage, particularly for people from Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, northern Illinois, Minnesota, and Upper Peninsula of Michigan.[citation needed] Uff da can often be used as an alternative for many common obscenities

none of the hocks were the same size Which is my fault but hadn't planned on doing them until after most of the butchering equipment was clean and hauled back out to the shed.
That stinks, but if you were loading the smoker you would have smoked liked size pieces.

they were smoked to 150* internal temp in the thickest one. BUT hopefully will be good for beans, tater, split pea , and other soups

they were in the smoker (hot type) for about 5 hours maybe a little longer. AND the people who raise/butcher the hogs skin them so there isn't that WONDERFUL RIND
