I remember being in the snow in New Jersey, but don't remember any ice storms. Mom probably wouldn't have let us go out. No sidewalks anyway. We did go ice skating on a frozen lake. My ice skates were red rubber galoshes. I was good at spinning.

Older brother had skates.

Its so different then roller skating which used to be very fun. Ice skating takes very strong muscles.

We have an ice rink in our town! It's been here since before we moved here, when the town was much smaller. 120,000 people smaller. It's Snoopy's ice rink. Charles Schultz settled around here and had the rink built, so we are lucky. In fifth grade, everyone at school got to take ice skating lessons! For school!! They still do it today. Both the boys got to go. So anyway, I learned how to ice skate, but not roller skate. No sidewalks here either.

Night all. Got to finish up the last bit of cleaning in the morning. Cooking for a group of 90 this weekend. College girls, and they opt to skip breakfast.

DD's birthday is Saturday. 8. I can't believe it.

theres nothing here for kids. very sad town for them school sports about it. I would love to see a skating rink pop up here.

I enjoyed roller skating but ice skating was to hard on my ankles and all of our rinks were outside burr cold discovered the joys of hiding in the warming house early
