Granny's gone and done it again

Quote: Bowling ally? This town has gotten so big, and 6 other towns are within 15 minutes (everything in sprawling together) so you can find just about everything here now. #2 even took fencing lessons some years ago. Climbing walls, gymnastic places, indoor soccer, tons of martial arts places... none of them used by my kids! The only thing we ever did was have birthday parties at this big warehouse place that had huge inflated jumpy houses and slides. The kids had a blast with their friends, and I didn't have to have a party at the house. Worth the price for stress relief.

That because you live in the rich area. Rich people have lots of money to spend on their kids and the businesses flourish. Marin county is the high rent district. Too bad because there are lovely farms over there. ( not saying you are rich)

Night all. Got to finish up the last bit of cleaning in the morning. Cooking for a group of 90 this weekend. College girls, and they opt to skip breakfast. :yesss:

DD's birthday is Saturday. 8. I can't believe it.

i dreaded the partys when mine were little but they always got one . Once at chucky cheese mostly home. Yes, we have bowling but no one can bowl anymore. A kid can make a friend on the rink.

This area used to be smack in the middle class. Then the vineyards came in and jacked up the real estate prices, then the dot.com.ers discovered "quaint" Sonoma county. And that's all she wrote. I always joke that it's now the high rent district here. There are some good paying jobs, but it takes just about all of it to afford living here. Still, better than Silicon Valley. Extremely expensive and crowded. No thanks. We think about retiring and moving farther north where there are still small towns and room to breathe. Northern California wants to split off from the rest of the state... make the Sate of Jefferson. If that were to ever happen, think I'd rather be up there!
