Granny's gone and done it again

Haha! Yellow tang is favorite of #2 when we go snorkeling!

I was just reading an article, and sounds like you shouldn't try to put other fish with a betta unless it's a 10 gal tank or larger. https://pethelpful.com/fish-aquariums/Tankmates-for-Bettas-and-Betta-Fish-in-a-Community-Tank

If I got a betta thats all I would have in there making me feel sorry for it for the next 2-5 yrs. Did you see the neons ? They need to be in a school to do well making it pricey but they are just as colorful and could use 6 of them.

I used to have a blue tang, clown fish, anemones (sp) dont remember them all And I put a fresh water mollie in there. It loved it !

I'm back. 7 eggs. 1 messy pen needs shavings. 1 of my EE pullets laid 1st egg- brown. Other one is laying medium olive colored egg. They are identical in appearance except one s comb is smoother.

I was reading another good site about setting up a small tank, and he linked this... types of fish that stay small. https://aquaticarts.com/collections/nano-fish

He also said don't put human emotions on a fish, a single betta will not be bored, he will be a fish! There was also something about choosing schooling fish that don't travel long distances at a timeif your tank is small. said to watch them in the pet store and see if they stop and turn back in a short space. I think you would like to have some colorful little ones. I like that tiny puffer. There's so much I don't know about keeping fish! This was the original article I was reading. Lots of good info, but you probably know already since you've had fish before. http://wistfulblue.com/stocking-a-3-to-5-gallon-aquarium/

wishing, it says dont throw them in there and just wish them the best of luck. hahahaaa OK what should I get ?? Not a lot to choose from and I dont have a heater in there . Goldfish I have tons outside but they are soo dirty.

That's what I've been wondering with my EE pullet. Think maybe she is not laying yet, but it could be her eggs that I attribute to the Wyandotte pullet. Hope not. I want a green or blue!
Marans just laid her nice dark brown (it's still warm!) and the Welsummer is in the box now... speckled reddish brown egg... and she's almost 5 yrs! Good girl, Grace!
