Granny's gone and done it again

Camping, Gertrude looks way too skinny to me. Make sure u have some molasses mixture to give her after the kids are born.

She is way too skinny. :/ I’ve been giving her drench on wheat bread, and red cell on wheat bread, daily b shots, grain and calf manna, branches and veggie trimmings, and alfalfa hay. I’m trying to get some calories in her, but there’s not much I can do for her right now.

I do have molasses and cmpk gel ready to go, and I need to get a few more things ready for her kidding.

Good work. We are all hoping for the best for her.

just remember you dont want to feed her too much because most of those calories will go to the babies and can make them too big.

I’m sticking to the portions I would use for a nonbred goat. She’s in the kidding pen indefinitely, so she can’t browse for herself. She’s def feeling better, which is good to see. I think I was closer to losing her than I realized.

I painted the remaining parts of the nest box, once they dry I can finish assembly and then attach it to the packing crate coop. And I ripped some boards for the roof, painted those. My table saw was jamming, hubby tried to fix that, but ended up unable to put it back together. I figured it out though. And I helped him with blocking off the soffits so critters can't go up there. A few more odd shapes pieces to cut and that side will be done.
