nope I meant this years hatchling. Can't imagine an older bird walking up a ramp into a coop and then forgetting how to get back out.

would be a buck a pound plus the gas money and travel time to and from Hazen twice. So I am guessing somewhere between 500 and 750 bucks.

plus what I would be able to "maybe" sell the animal itself for.

My mom told a story of being at familys house and the mother hollered out to son. OMG My good laying hen is stuck in the picket fence ! Go save it. The son went out and picked the hen up ,looked at it and then put it back. He hollers Ma, thats not your good hen. I asked mom why would he do that and she said he wanted fried chicken.
