Neither of my boys were adventurous eaters. Guess they are growing up and getting to be more like their dad... eats pretty much anything, long as the fat content is low enough.

I made split pea soup tonight. Fried up some bacon to crumble on top. The boys liked it. Minor Christmas miracle!

I start with ham stock and then frozen /left over mashed taters with liquid squeezed out as a thickener. LOVE me some split pea soup BUT hate regular cooked pea's . STRANGE child I be.

Good for you. What prompted this? If you keep cutting back, Lent is going to be a piece of cake. Or you'll have to choose to give up something harder.

Actually, kind of sad that I could catch up over a week of posts in just a couple hours. In the golden age of this thread, that would have taken a week or more.
