Granny's gone and done it again

I am NOT impressed with the easter egger's I got last spring still laying LOTS of small/pee wee's with an occasionaly medium sized egg.
That is unfortunate. The EEs I've had have always made it up to Large and XLarge though it does take a few months of laying. Not sure my Columbian Wyandottes will ever get to Large, they are having trouble making it to Medium most of the time. Same with the Exchequer Leghorns that are 2.5 years old.

I like barred rocks as layers.
I have both Barred and White Rocks. Both lay well - Large to Xlarge. I've stayed away from Orpingtons since they are supposedly more likely to go broody. I have no need for a hen that wants to hatch pine shavings, unfertilized or plastic eggs. That by itself is a reason not to get them for a money making egg enterprise.
