I am not sure this could be called fasting, exactly, but I have really benefitted from spacing my meals five hours apart and not eating after 6 pm. So I'll have fasted at least 12 hours between dinner and breakfast, which I think just about puts me into that keto range if I understand that correctly. My diabetes is now well under control and I have lost 30 lbs.!

Good job. Yes we are finding out everything they told people about diabetes is wrong. You are doing well.

Nope, you can tell by where the pee comes out. Males, urinate from the sheath in the center of their belly. Females, pee exits from under the tail (vulva is below below the anus). Makes sense considering how they mate given their shape.

Our phone landline went out over a week ago. First available appointment for someone to check is June 9. And that's only to tell us whether it is our problem in the house or their problem on the line. Who knows how long it will take to repair the line once they find it is their problem!
And it is their problem. For the THIRD time in 3 years!

We have a forced air furnace, but you can't run the fan without the heat. Not sure what would have to be done to have that. We do have quite an assortment of electric fans!

If I lived in the central valley like you, we would have ac. We are close enough to the ocean that it cools off most summer nights into the upper 50s-lower 60s and most days there is fog in the morning... except for last summer... only one foggy morning. Makes the fire danger ridiculous. Hoping we get our foggy mornings back this summer, even though the tomato plants will start complaining.

My shoulder was so sore this morning that I put heat pad on it and slept a good part of the day. Which is good , because it was crazy hot.
