up here at least used mainly in deserts and jellys or cooked down as a sauce. Mixed with strawberries ALOT

Cap, did you ever visit cocoa beach? I was so impressed as a child with the beautiful colored shells that scattered the beach. Most of them were alive but if I found empty ones I could take them home to add to my collection.

No, but Sanibel island is terrific for that!

Those are coquinas! They come in many different colors. Very tiny, but some folks make soup out of them.

I and just found out we are about 5 inches short on moisture for the year already.

Normal is 7+ inches by now and we are just over 2 inches for the year. THANK GOD for all that moisture last fall, Subsoil moisture is still "acceptable"
