So odd. I remember back in the day you could do one way rentals with uhaul - what we did to get my stuff from Alberta to Cali.Usually gives you buffer time too.

RooPaul was crowing at me from inside their coop this morning when I was in the shower. I think he was most put out I was up and about and hadn’t let them out yet. His morning crow is still blessedly pathetic lol.

The mass one way exodus from CA has left UHaul very short of rentals here. It is ridiculously expensive to rent one way out of state, but you can get a great deal coming into CA to drop off.

My first EE sexed pullet cockerel was named RuPaul!

Morning Granny. I've been up for hours. Very smokey in the house and I have been breathing through a wet wash cloth and shopping for air purifiers since dark-thirty.
At least it has cooled down quite a bit and there's moisture in the air. Almost 90 inside last night, so no way we could keep it closed up. I am waiting for the perfect breeze to clear out the house and close it back up.

My Nancy comes today. I took my sheets off the bed and washing them so she can put them back on. Much harder to put them back on.

That's the billion dollar question. They have some brilliant ideas, like a wealth tax for multimillionaires that would follow them for 10 years even if they move out of state. If that one passes, I give up!
State doesn't have enough money coming in now with the covid... been mostly shut down since mid March, and now half the state is on fire, or at least seems that way... cough cough
They seems incapable of tightening their belts.

Funny thing is those that are leaving, wherever they go start voting for those same rules and regulations most of the time. Texas is becoming infected with them.
