The VA has such an antiquated system, apparently when they pulled my records in from wherever, it stuck that old phone number in there. But everyone else got a hold of me.. Even the gal in Tuskeegee who sent the letter back in Apr had the correct address.

I guess I had best get busy. Hate to go out there in the heat. Hubby is mowing the grass. It is growing like...weeds! Which it mostly is here.

I got the first hen bin done and was starting on the second one when the phone rang.. Not like me to normally have my cell phone on me, but I was taking a few pics of the hen bin.

Oh, I saw Mollie doing something funny this morning.. she was creeping around really low to the ground.. I first wondered if she was sick.. but she was hunting ants... then she crept up on Henri like that.. Wonder if she was wanting some luvin'?

^^ View of the first and second story. I did use chicken wire on all but the poop boards so there was enough circulation to keep the hay semi dry.

^^ The lid is almost complete here, but I did finish it before coming in the house.

Only two more top pieces to go on the ends. And in spite of the coop being 8 x 8' it still looks roomier with the bin on the side. A room with a view!

You could cut an access hole and put the bin outside, and have even more room.

I think I have built about 50 coops and hutches by now. I think about these things. Are you going to add nest boxes?
