Some of the dogs that are supposed to be chihuahuas, look more like small terriers of some sort.

No doubt. My sister had a teeny tiny poodle that fit in her purse. Paid a prince's ransom for him. Lived barely a year and died of congenital heart failure.

I think they have.

Mostly they become that way because of the way they are handled. Coddled and over-petted, babied and not allowed to be dogs. When the doorbell rings and they run barking to the door, 99 out of 100 times they get picked up and petted, which only reinforces the barking and ultimately creates a monster.

Truth. What the tiny dogs get away with is called cute and giggled over whereas if a real sized dog did that they’d be a menace.

Sigh. Listening to boss son’s dog yip today. She’s a pup yes but she needs to be worked - body and mind. And she’s not getting that. And she’s acting out because of it.
