Granny's gone and done it again

My young grow out polish pullets. They like sitting like bumps on a log!

Here in North East Missouri also, @BigBlueHen53. Funny how that happens this time of the year.

Tomorrow is opening day of deer hunting/rifle. Think if it ain't pouring buckets of rain I'll mosey out to the timber and see if I can't murder me a Bambi!

Don't get me wrong, I love deer, they are especially good when roasted and served with garlic and butter sauce....:drool

Good luck! Last one I killed, I used my truck. It wasn't there one minute, and the next minute it was!

I just can't believe you can't extinguish a bad habit after a year! At one year, thd dog is still a puppy! I've helped dogs that got in the trash, jumped on people, ate kitty litter, chewed tv remotes, even killed chickens, WAY older than a year old! Sammy, at 16 months old, was a spinner. He just had so much pent-up, unreleased and undirected energy, he spun in circles like a dervish, like when he was waiting for a door to be opened. Now he can sit and wait, or even just stand. He used to require someone to constantly throw a ball for him. Now he can lie quietly if no one wants to play with him. He was a crazy barker att every little noise. Now he can bark a few times and stop when he's told "enough." I don't think training ever stops.
You give me hope. I have never been able todo it.

Same here, Cap. We were driving home one night around dusk and cruising through an area that is deer haven. I casually told DH that we were very lucky as we had drove over a hundred miles and had yet to see a DEER! The last word was screamed as we came over a hill and there was a stupid doe standing in the middle of our lane watching us. DH slammed on the brakes but clipped it. It was able to get away and we scrambled out of the car to check the damage while I headed for the side of the road.. DH asked me where I was going and all I said was STEAKS! Couldn't find the deer even though I suspected it was badly injured but it left the perfect silhouette of it's head and neck on our hood.
