The older I get, the longer things take to heal. Any sign of infection?

I just discovered a huge deep bruise on the side of my shin. Not sure where it came from. Probably from climbing around to clean off the bantam coop roof yesterday. Pretty ugly!

I wouldnt expect him to buy parts though . He said the radiator had a huge crack and this must be a slow leak. I drove it for a week or so and it had heat.
