I had a good idea !!!

YES that is a great idea..
Thanks!

If she uses plain cotton and single-thickness batting it should be fine. I just have a regular machine, but I have a couple special feet to make things easier.

It's going to be a great big tedious project, but I don't think it will be hard. Although making a few placemats for practice wouldn't hurt.

I think i have some different feet too.
Ill have to pull out the box of sewing stuff I got too and have a look see!

Campin, dont you think that is a hard first project ?  I have hand sewn the quilts because depending on how thick they are its not an easy thing to feed them through the machine.  Did you get a heavy duty machine Kiki ?

Place mats for practice is a good idea!  Is there a special foot that lets you do that jigsaw type quilting lines or do you need a special machine?

Someday I want to make a crazy quilt.  Should be easy for me...    you know, crazy.  :D     https://www.google.com/search?q=cra...r5jSAhWow1QKHSk8AOMQ_AUICCgB&biw=1200&bih=592

Straight lines are pretty easy with any foot. I use a scant-quarter foot for piecing and a walking foot for quilting. You need a spring foot or hopping foot for the curvy stuff, or the free motion quilting. I finally bought the foot, but haven't tried it yet.

i have to take a picture with my phone..then email it to myself...which takes a good minute to send...then download the pic from my email on my computer to upload here.
