Maybe instead of making a crazy quilt, I can finish one block. So much work in each one. Look at this one!

It'll do the quilting, not the embroidery. It's free motion. So imagine you're sewing without the pressure foot down. It's wild and crazy, but still pretty much limited to forward motion. With the spring/hopper foot you can drop the feed dogs (mine don't drop, they have a cover) and now you can quilt in any direction. I was quilting a design in a blanket, and following a castle in the print. I'd have to stop and rotate the entire project because I couldn't do the free-motion.Camping, a spring foot or hopping foot will do this?Maybe instead of making a crazy quilt, I can finish one block. I would recommend you grab some scrap material and learn the machine before you go buying a lot of stuff.
I like the solid colored ones too. Have you thought about bleaching this and dying it a different color? Cotton would be easy. There are special dyes for polyester too.
