Your thyroid is a very important part of your endocrine system so I think she's right about the pony wee meds, lol, it's all hormones there too. Synthroid is synthetic now though. The stuff I take is not synthetic...it's dessicated pig thyroid and I'm always grossed out by it but I could technically die if left untreated.
