Granny's gone and done it again

So my potassium was down so they gave me big honkin' horse pill I nearly gagged on. They gave me steroid in an IV for inflammation and said I had a mild case of pneumonia going on. They gave me a Z-pak, (Azithromycin,) and an anti-nausea medicine, and told me in no uncertain terms that I MUST eat and drink if I don't want to end up admitted to hospital or worse. I can eat cream of chicken soup and fruit popsicles. I'm sleeping a lot but feel like I will get better, it's just going to take a bit. Weak as a kitten, I am. 😊 Feel better now I'm hydrated.
Wow, everything they gave you would kill me. Allergic to all mycins and to all steriods.

It was a very good decision to go in, then. Sounds like you caught everything in the early stages. I'm so glad you are home. That's the best place to recover. :hugs

Well then, don't get sick, Miss Verna!
I won't get sick. LOL. Program myself with my daily mantra. "I'm happy and health, I am. " repeated in a sing song voice.

Verna, all antibiotics ? What do you take when your fevered ?
No, not all. Just mycins. And amoxicillin doesn't work on me. Just like giving me a sugar pill.
When I am fevered, tylenol and aleve at the dosing regiment.

Yes, thank you. I had the sweetest nurse and the best doctor. They were calm, friendly, efficient, caring and compassionate. Which was really nice bc they could not let DH go in with me since he is Covid + too.
