Granny's gone and done it again

Woke up yesterday to a my kitchen sink being froze up (pipes) got that taken care of and then this morning one of my rented called and NO water in his place. SURE enough frozen pipes somewhere so 4 rooms are out of commission.

Called 2 plumbers and they don't "thaw pipe" but are willing to come and repair them if needed once they are thawed out. BULL Left a message for another one BUT he hasn't called me back yet.

Oh my , that isn't good. You mean you do not have the thermal wire wraps for your pipes?

Manged to get out and buy dog food and puppy chow (starting with Beth when she welps) and then both powered and liquid milk replacer JUST in case. Since out Walmart isn't open 24 hours since the plague showed up.

I think ours is open til 11 now. It was 8.

well my kitchen ones are burried some where under the floor. Usually I just open the cupboard doors when its REALLY cold and no problems. Last night I left the sink dripping sort of fast and no problem this morning.

And the other set has NEVER frozen since I bought the place in 1999

open cupboard door and stuck in an electric heater. Less then 2 hours latter I was "up and running" again.

With the way the weather is changing, you now know to plan for the worst and hope for the best.

How much snow is on the ground there twisted?

maybe 1/2 to an inch , kept melting all winter OR got blown into another county/state.
