do you need to trim them? Congrats on the baby. Name him?OH and not advised/suggested to trim toes on the yaks if they are close to calving. To much stress and things could get "twisted" inside. (pardon the word choice)
I was wondering if it would be at sll practical to eliminate that herd and start over with healthy stock. Perhaps several ranchers could each contribute a few animals from their own herds? Or is this a dumb idea?NOT sure.

What a shame. I was thinking the park could vaccinate the bison with dart guns but then I read the elk can get brucellosis too. And I read how huge the bison herd is.part of the reason all the rancher's around the Yellowstone park want to shoot all bison leaving the park as the bison herd has it.
