Granny's gone and done it again

Rod called latter AFTER I set up an appointment for the Vet to pg the girls and bangs the heifers. April 27 it will be.

Hailey (at least according to him) calved this morning. Supposedly it has one white hind foot.

Ah, of course. Will remembering tales of Mr Binks make you feel better, or worse? Did you get him as a kitten? Where did he come from?
its too soon I think . Thank you though

OH and not advised/suggested to trim toes on the yaks if they are close to calving. To much stress and things could get "twisted" inside. (pardon the word choice)
do you need to trim them? Congrats on the baby. Name him?

NOT sure.
I guess the bulls are shot and burned.

ND takes brucellosis VERY seriously.
I was wondering if it would be at sll practical to eliminate that herd and start over with healthy stock. Perhaps several ranchers could each contribute a few animals from their own herds? Or is this a dumb idea?

part of the reason all the rancher's around the Yellowstone park want to shoot all bison leaving the park as the bison herd has it.
What a shame. I was thinking the park could vaccinate the bison with dart guns but then I read the elk can get brucellosis too. And I read how huge the bison herd is.
Twist, do you know where brucellosis originated? Domestic or wild animals?
