It probably isn't arthritis. The pain started when Robert pulled your hand. It's an injury that you keep re-injuring. Good chance for it to heal if you are diligent. Don't give up before you try!

Also, while it's true arthritis doesn't go away, inflammation is a temporary symptom and can be managed. The inflammation in your hand, Granny, is most likely a result of the injury from Ribert yanking on it. Rest, ice and support will help it heal.

Everyone over a certain age has arthritis from normal wear and tear. Part of why it sucks to age.
