- you know, I never thought about that until now, but you are so right......

We need prayers we have really bad storms coming in the morning with possible tornadoes and I am worried about us and the chickens

Stay safe
yep natural colored gravel is ALWAYS the way to go.

Granny, if/when you get a chance go to the ACE in Scottsburg (call first just in case they don't have it anymore) and ask for Pool Filter Sand -- it is SUPER cheap and the stuff I've gotten from them is SO awesome both in color and size/consistency -- lots of people use plain sand these days, but the smaller/lighter grains can sometimes be prone to getting stirred up easily -- the PFS I got from them was larger grain, a beautiful natural color mix and always stayed well settled, even with my big pleco doing his best to make a mess of it.

Im really thinking of picking up a few bantam chicks tomorrow!
Im trying to think of a good reason not too but I can't think of any.

Im just hoping that i will be able to keep them (eventually) with my "big girls"

Really, you're going to ask here for good reasons NOT to get chicks.............??

Get OEGB, sell or process the extra roos. They're meatier than other banty breeds. PS.. you didn't hear that from me!
