3/4 bushel of peas gd & me picked this am, I'll be shelling all afternoon, sausage, fried eggs & biscuit for bfast. Gotta get a shower & get ready to go to church in town, dh & his bros & sister are singing for morning service

Wow, you can do that? Just twist them plumb off? Do they bleed?

It's like the spurs are sheaths, there is a core on the inside. There were a few drops of blood, but not as bad as I expected. Never did it myself before.

Sitting on the front porch watching the hummingbird feeder and a ruby throated one comes up and chased the others away. It has the widest ruby ring I've seen here. Usually they're pretty thin. But he seems to be the dominant one at the moment

Is he part of your breeding stock?

Yes, I wouldn't use him but he's the only frizzle roo I have that has good feet. My other guy has bad ones.
