That seems likely, but I know for sure I emptied her nest of extras two days ago. Wouldn't think I'd see veins that soon.
Lagertha (pancake's mom) strikes like a snake if you're within six inches of her. Luckily I make the rules for my farm, so they don't set their own boundaries. I do.

What do you do, eat them if they don't behave?

Camping, I couldn't find the original article I read about the borax. Most of what I was reading said one to one ratio, but that's for sugar. I think I used one part borax to 3 parts peanut butter. You can stir in a little sugar water if it's too thick. Sometimes they like a little sweet too. If it's working, the ants should be gone in 3 days or so. There will be more ants before there are less... just let them do their thing.
