Granny's gone and done it again

Hey gang. Hope you all had a great Christmas. Ours was quiet and bright! No snow. Not very cold, More like March temps but we will take what we can get as they are calling for -3 on New Year's day.

Granny, I'd be considering putting a hasp and lock on the fridge and taking the knobs off the stove. My dad almost burned the house down one night while I was at work. Put the kettle on the stove and turned it on to make instant coffee and forgot about it thanks to his worsening dementia. I found it (the tea kettle) melted and burned. Luckily that was all the damage and he had eventually remembered to turn it off. It could have been so much worse.

Howdys all, Woke up at 7am and SD and SIL showed up at 9:30. They surprised their dad. I knew they were coming. They bought Robert a box of bullets, Tom a 6 pk of insure and a box of candy for me. She cooked dinner for us and we went to goodwill. I bought a metal bucket with a rooster on it. It came from hobby lobby and was $17.00 I got it for $3.00 I also bought myself a tshirt and paid for her shirts. She found 3 she can wear to work.
Dinner was kinda bad but its the thought that counts. Tom and I slipped our meat to the dogs when she wasnt looking. lol all in all a good day. I was just too tired to be good company.

Okay, Spring is officially here. Forget the weekend temps in the teens and lows in the minuses, I got my first three seed catalogues today. that means spring is here! Yay! Just like I like winter. Snow until Christmas day, Thaw, then spring!

Only we didn't have snow for Christmas this year. I guess that means no early spring either...drats!
