Ash Wednesday already? I usually give up chocolate since it's about the only real sweet I can tolerate. My faith is a branch off of the Episcopal church, which Robin Williams called Catholic Lite so I guess that would make mine Catholic Ultra Lite. That and no meat on Friday through Lent.

So much going on in the world that I lost track of things date wise. Howdy everyone. Beautiful weather here. Temps in the 60s and 70s. It feels like spring outside but I know mother nature is just toying with us until at least next month then she still may have a few cruel tricks up her sleeve. Last year our peach trees were in full bloom and had snow on them.

My cholesterol was a bit high. Not alarming, doctor wanted me to start statins so I did. After 6 weeks I stopped taking them. They were making me sicker than a dog. I have the chronic gastritis anyway so I don't need any meds that will make it worse. Just have to watch the diet a bit closer.

and honestly the no meat Friday is the worst part of lent IMHO Because that is the day that I really CRAVE meat,

60s here too and yes, she is playing tricks on us!
She doubled my meds. Its either that or more Mis I have been told. I dont tolerate them very well either.

Yep, they sure will.

Happens more often than you can imagine. I used to work a Medical floor where they would get men in who had blood in their urine. They would cause themselves to bleed so they would get the doctor to admit them and run tests so they could get shots of narcotics afterwards (before MRI's and CTs)

After a couple Demerol shots they would leave....and be stuck with a bill. Total nonsense but it happens.
